Fell Pilgrims

Join us for a family friendly walk on the last Sunday of the month in May, June, July, August and September.

We meet at Barbon Village Hall car park for a stroll round the local area.

Fell Pilgrim’s aim is to explore the sacred places of the fells through pilgrimage and discover the wildness of God in the natural environment.

Our walk will finish with tea and biscuits at St Bartholomew’s Church at around 11:00 am. Please bring

  1. Coat, hat, gloves depending on weather
  2. Stout shoes – the paths can be muddy and rough under foot
  3. Sun glasses, sun hat and sun screen depending on weather
  4. Drink and snack

The walks are unsuitable for push chairs. The distances are up to 5 miles/ 8 kilometres and we will not always be in mobile phone coverage.

The June walk will take us up Barbon Low Fell to see the views of the Lune Valley. The walk is on paths or roads but will be a little rough under foot in places. Saturday evening update – the weather is looking a little inclement. We will do a low level walk down to the river. Make sure you bring a waterproof!

PLEASE CHECK ON THIS PAGE FOR THE LATEST STATUS OF A WALK. WE WILL PUBLISH HERE IF WE HAVE TO CANCEL A WALK FOR BAD WEATHER.
